I need some help. Im sexually active and I want birth contol.
I dont know if I should get on the shot, or the pill.

I want it for two reasons. For my period and so I wont get pregnate.
I do use protection.
Should I even get on it??

i think the shot would work better ,its more promising!

Also going on the pill is a private matter with your doctor.
Parent's are NOT told.
If you have many sexual parteners, then using a condom to prevent sti's is very wise.

Well if you are sexually active then going on the pill would be the best thing to do.
Condoms aren't the safest things.
Also going on the pill should make your period's regular..

If your having sex, you need to have two forms of birth control for safety. Being on birth control does have side effects for some. The shot is known to cause people to gain 5-7 pounds yearly. I have been on both and prefer the shot, depo provera, due to not having to take it orally everyday. You get the shot every three months.
Just to be safe, you could use condoms and be on the shot as well. Also, if you ever slip up and dont use a condom or the condom breaks, you know you have a back up. :)
Although, in most cases, you have to have parental consent. I would just talk to your doctor. I would also bring up having yearly pap smears.
Hope I helped.
