how is my boyfriend feeling?

well me and my boyfriend been together for about 2 years now. and the last few months me and him have not been getting along at all. and yeasterday i asked him if he wanted to be with me or not and he said he thinks that we need a break. but i dont understand why because he is in the Army. and him and i havent seen each other in about 7 months now. and i dont understand why he would want a break??? i told him thst msybe its best if we just move on and dont get back togther. and he said i wanna get back with you in few months. and i asked him if he thinks things will be better in a few months and he said hofually. should i get back with him or just move on. my heart is torn part of me wants to just move on and the other part of me wants to go back in a few months im just so confused please help!!!! thanks.!!
