I'm thinking about dropping out of high school. Is it a good idea?

These past weeks have been tortured!
I have been hanging my assisngments in late...don't really have time to do any work.

Can't pay attention in class. I don't think i can take 2 more years in high school again.
by the way im a sophmore.

I am really strugling in:
Geometry
World History

Even when I do the homework... I don't understand it! I don't even know how i'll tell my parents i'm going to quit school. They are more on the strict side.

What should I even do right now?

I would just hang in there. I know thats not what you want to hear, I've been where you are and even right now im struggling to keep up in school. But the real question you have to ask yourself is what do you want to be when you grow up? Do you want to work in fast food? If so then dropping out is fine. But the people with the luxeries and the freedom and the traveling...those are the people who busted their asses for years. So you can drop out of school, no one can tell you what to do, but just consider every little thing including respect from your family, that you're giving up simply because you thought it was too hard.

The dumbest thing you can ever do. You think it is hard to get a job now. Well think if you didn't even have a high school depolma.

You quit now your going to mess up your life.

You have to stop saying you cant and start saying you can. You got the mentality that you cant do it. Then your not going to.

Try finding a friend in that class that could help. Talk to your teacher for help. It might feel weird but dont worry about it. Start now while you can before its to late.=)

personally, I myself did drop out, but not because school was hard, my school didn't let students test out. and the work was extremely easy as well, but i dropped out of high school to go to college, currently im a computer engineering student at the University of Arizona, and im so glad i did it, but unless you're going to drop out for higher education(to go to college), then i wouldn't drop out, best of luck to you.

droping out isn't a good idea, later on in life you'll regret it, most of my friends and even my mother droped out and they all wish they could go back to school and change everything. it's not a very good idea, you wont mke much money or any thing.

You cant give in to your present emotions when it comes to life altering decisions like this.

you really have to think things through throughly and logically and realistically.

If you look around at the MAJORITY

of people's lives who dropped out of school you'll notice that it is a very hard, stressful, unfulfilling lifestyle.

just think,
would YOU hire a high school drop out over a high school graduate.

and if not
Would you higher a high school graduate over a college graduate?

Life is a competition girl
Be prepared

Trust me, you want to stick with it. If you drop put now, your life will be so much harder. I know the stuff you may be learning right now is difficult, but think of how much better your life will be with all that knowledge. I am a senior in highschool and I know what your going threw. I am struggling in those classes as well, but once your done with it, your gonna feel proud of yourself. Dont be afraid to ask for help from your teachers, thats what there getting paid to do. Get some after school help from them. Just keep in mind.... 89% of dropouts either end up on the streets or worse. So stay in school, and your senior year will be the best year. You can do it.

i dont think its a good idea because in the furture to get some what of a good job u need at least to pass high school. Ask a parent or stay after school with a teacher. If u have a job that is stoppin u then look at your mangers and tell them that u have to stay after cause education should alawys come first im in 10th grade and about to give birth to twins but for them to have a good i have to pass high school so just really think about how your future will go with out passin high school then make your choice

OK, you don't need to drop out of school. I know I sound like the parents and teachers but your going to need this knowledge in the future. For nice thing and fancy things.

I thought about dropping out of school my Jr. year because it just get's harder and harder tthis. If this wont help mabey a new school, even newer friends. I've he longer your in school. You should personally sit down and talk to your teachers about and your struggles, they CAN help with this. I've learned little changes in your life can motivate you to do things you never dreamed of.

What would your parents think? Do you think they would be disappointed?

Besides that, You only have two more years, you'd be stupid to dropout.
