Should I contact my family after 7 years of not talking to them?

I have not spoke to my mothers family (her mom,dad,sisters,brother-in-law) in 7 years because they do not agree on who I was married to. My ex-husband and I divorced 4 motnhs ago. Should I contact my family? I still speak to ad see my ex-husband on a daily basis. My ex-husband and I live in seperate houses.
