what wrong did i do?

I am 25 y-o girl, and i had a male friend who was 28, out friendship was irregular, coz he was married and had a very jealous wife..
so i used to give him the space to come and go, and we agreed not to meet each other coz that will hurt her feelings"his wife"
A month ago, he contacted me via messanger and said, " i got divorced, and i need u to be with me, we are only friends, and we are both matures, and i'll never get use of u"

so we hit it off, and when he came back from new york, we've met, a 2 hours meeting, coffee and talking talking talking..
he didn't show anything but listening, and talking..
next day he told me "wow, u r beautiful" but he disappeared for couple of days and when i called him he asked me "don't u want anything from me ?i mean am in a mess, and don't want to hurt u...." i told him that am mature and will not miss understand him, and he shouldn't either, so he asked me to meet again, and we go to the park, had a lunch, talked about everything in the world, and had a really great time, and when i said he must consider me as one of his guy friends and laughed, he looked at me and said"but my friends haven't such a great feminine laughter!", while he was driving me home he said"u act like a child, but only to protect urself in this world, but u have a lot inside u taht no man will add anything to u,contrarly, you will be adding to him!"
then we've got lost and he ordered a taxi for me.
he went home and didn't call me till i called him next day, and i was surprised he said
"Oh, great u called, i was reading this book about divorce and he tells that i should quit making relations till i deal with my anger, i never underestimate it, and i really appreciate u, but the book said that i might give others false impressions, i don't wanna be unfair to u, or to lose u"
i said"ok, tell me what r u afraid from?"
he shouted at me:"don't ask me such a question"
i said:"watch out ur tongue, u r yelling at me"
he apologized saying"am through a madness now..i must go,i know u'll understand me..bye"

after 4 days am no longer on his friends list on FB, so i sent him this message:
"ok a??r, i guess removing me of ur friends wasn't an accident this time, u r the only one among my contacts who keeps come and go
as u like amr
please pretend u didn't get this message from me
i wish u luck in whatever u r trying to do in ur life
and happy eid any way!"
and he never answered.but am still can c his profiles on msn and yahoo..
I REALLY MISSSSSSS him, what can i do, what happened to him, as it my wrong?
