How am I going to approach her now? Im confused?

Hi, i need a bit of help. There is this girl who i knew liked me because last week she texted me it. and her best friend secretly came up to me stating that she likes me. So, i decided to ask her out. well before doing so i texted her friend, "what would NAME say if i asked her out". then i got"idk prob yes.. but im not absolutley sure." Then the next day i get a text from the girl who liked me stating, "This is not good news but i can not be in a relationship right now" So obiviously her friend talked to her about it... idk what to do now when i see her. I told her then i was planning to ask her out and she said she now feels bad... then i said dont b and stuff like that...i just said i thought u liked me so i thought i would ask u out. she responds,"i do. but i just dont feel lke its the right tie for me to be in a relationship."(she prov said that to be nice....) i do still like her, is there a way to help her like me more? i havnt texted her in a day now..
