Why my friend mom is trying to run her life

I have a friend. well we use to be friends until her mom start getting in our business. Now the mom is suppose to be a Jehovah Witness which means she have rules to follow by. I understand my ex friend is her daughter but how are you going to be trying to pick you daughters frineds, how are you going to be forcing her to become a witness just because you're one. How are you going to be trying to live your life through your daughter? How are you as a mom going to tell your daughter that she can no longer be friends with a person because they are having disagreements? Now the friend and I both have betrayed one anothers but it's like everyone is trying to through the blame on me. But the ex friend wnatd to be friends but the mom got her nose in it so deep and keep telling her that no way no how never will we ever be friends again. I was there when the mom wasn't there and no one else was. So with this being said how do I get my friend back???
