How to stop worrying about your weight!
I never understood about weight fluctuation, where weight can change randomly every year, month, week, or even every day. Whenever I gained a pound or two, I usually started crying.
I'm pretty short, but, luckily I've always been thin. How thin you ask? Almost anorexic thin. My BMI is ONLY 15. 1, according to a BMI calculation website IS underweight. I never understood about weight fluctuation, where weight can change randomly every year, month, week, or even every day. Whenever I gained a pound or two, I usually started crying.
I was basically anorexic, except I didn't refuse to eat. I grew up in an environment where almost everything was show business. I take acting, singing, and dancing lessons, and I have been for a while now, so obviously I'm very caught up in worrying about my looks, especially my weight.
What I learned was, if you watch your calorie intake (the fat that goes INTO your body) you CAN loose weight, and if you keep a heallthy diet, eating low calorie foods, you'll feel much better about yourself and you won't pressure yourself to loose weight, since you know your on a good start to loosing the extra weight (in my case, I don't really have any but, still). I know it's hard to look in the mirror and critique every little thing about yourself, and even when people tell you how 'skinny' or 'small' you are you still sigh and ask yourself how you got that way.
So you have to get yourself on track by exercising, thinking positive and eating healthy. This isn't for weight loss purposes, this is for getting yourself healthy. I know it sounds boring, but, when your older you'll surely appreciate it. I now feel good about my body.
Remember, this IS NOT about loosing weight OR becoming anorexic or scarily skinny. It's how you can physiologically feel great! Since, most of the time, if you turn around and be positive, you can be, and feel....great about yourself, and most people will see that confidence shine. Even walking up and down the stairs at school is exercise, so is playing on the swing, brushing your teeth (possibly somewhat) and even if you only do a few crunches a day, you'll feel results. Even if you don't see any, and even if you do even gain weight, you won't break down and cry like I did. Remember, weight changes usually all the time.
Good luck!
Callie.

In addition you may
Submitted by Blood Hound on September 6, 2009 - 9:57pm.In addition you may supplement yourself with plain old h20, water breaks down carbohydrates and gives you the feeling of a full stomach, this is a double diet effect rolled in one! However, the term "diet" is a fraud, since you are rather making a "change in eating habits". It also helps to wear clothing that is form fitting, too tight clothing might embarras you and if the clothing is too loose you will get the idea that it is ok for you to eat whatever you want and begin to ignore your actual body mass. BMI is a failure in some ways, it measures much more than fat...it includes muscle, which you want to keep, also weight scales measure not just fat but also muscle and other mass containing materials. The best judgement of your body is to take a side profile in a mirror and stay around people who are positive, they will inspire you and keep you on the right track, DO NOT....let people put you down. Also watch your portion sizes.
